2024 Fiat 500e vs. Nissan LEAF in Surrey, BC

The electrifying, electric 2024 Fiat 500e is here, and Langley Chrysler is proud to be one of the dealerships where you can get your hands on one. Blending Italian design with cutting-edge technology, the Fiat 500e is a unique vehicle both in how it looks and how it drives. So, just how does this incredible new Fiat compare to some of the other compact electric cars? With that in mind, the team here at Langley Chrysler has put it side-by-side with the 2024 Nissan LEAF.

Appearance

If you want to turn heads on the street, you’re not going to do that with the 2024 Nissan LEAF. It might be modern and sleek, but it also looks just like any other Nissan. The Fiat 500e, on the other hand, has that unmistakable classic Fiat look, updated for the modern aesthetic. With fewer of them on the road, it stands out. Yes, we’ll grant that looks aren’t everything – but they matter when it comes to driving. Your vehicle is an extension of you and your lifestyle, and you don’t want it to be just another bland sedan. You want something as unique as you are.

Size

When you look for a compact car, it doesn’t get much more compact than the Fiat 500e. It weighs a full 500 lbs less than the Nissan LEAF, and can go from 0 to 90 km/h in under 9 seconds. It’s perfect for urban driving; thanks to the smaller size it can zip around other traffic easily, head down narrow streets with confidence, and squeeze into surprisingly small spaces. The Leaf, by comparison, has more length and a wider wheelbase, making it much less “compact” as a commuter vehicle. Your Fiat will get around in ways the Nissan LEAF could only imagine.

Interior

With the Fiat 500e, the inside is as stylish and thoughtfully designed as the outside. The luxuriously appointed cabin is comfortable and inviting, and a pleasure to spend time in. Despite the compact size of the vehicle, it’s surprisingly comfortable and open thanks to the care taken to layout and design. Not only that, it’s crammed with high-tech features, all of which are easily accessible through the large, 10.25” touchscreen infotainment hub. The 2024 Nissan LEAF is fine, but not nearly as well appointed as the Fiat 500e. It also lags behind on interior features, not featuring many of the latest technical amenities now available on the market. It doesn’t even offer a Wi-Fi hotspot, which is a big point against in our modern connected world.

Price

One of the key differences between the 2024 Fiat 500e and the 2024 Nissan LEAF is the price. The 500e is priced reasonably for such a premium ride, compared to the Leaf which starts at a base MSRP nearly $2,000 higher. If you’re a sensible modern driver looking for a stylish urban vehicle, you want better value for your money – and the Fiat offers more than you need for a much more affordable price.
